The Atlanta Black Gay Pride Planning Committee seeks a Volunteer Coordinator:

This is a volunteer position, as are all planning committee positions. Planning committee members all receive a small honorarium and expense reimbursement.

Atlanta Black Gay Pride 2018 is August 27th – September 3rd.

The Atlanta Black Gay Pride Volunteer Coordinator will be expected to spend 4-6 hours per week working in this capacity February 1 – September 3 and will commit to a minimum of 20 hours during Atlanta Black Gay Pride Week (August 27th – September 3rd, 2018).

The Volunteer Coordinator must be minimum of 18 years of age. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible managing all elements of volunteering within Atlanta Black Gay Pride. The role involves assessing and meeting the organization’s needs through the recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers. Managing volunteers and their relationships with those they come into contact with, including board members and guest of the organization. The coordinator will work across the public and private sectors but are concentrated in the third (voluntary, charitable and community) sector. He/she works closely with the Atlanta Black Gay Pride Committee to coordinate volunteers and placement during Atlanta Black Gay Pride Weekend. He/she must be self- motivated, and possess a high level of accuracy, independent judgment, and problem-solving skills.
